Each new member will receive a membership ID card (renewed yearly) and one vehicle medallion. NOTE: Any annual items/gifts issued annually beyond the membership card is subject to Executive Board expenditure approval. In addition, you will receive one Legal Defense membership card (this card is good until your plan is terminated), and you will have access to National FOP Lodge newsletters and communication.

You are eligible for membership if you attended a Corrections Academy and are employed in a Security Ranking (badge) position, in a State, Federal or County Correctional facility located in Illinois.
Officers/Agents who want to become members of the Lodge must fill out an application. This can be done here on the website electronically here OR it can be mailed to the lodge at the address below/listed on the application OR it can be given to a Lodge Executive Board Officer for submission.

New IDOC members sign up for payroll deduction, dues are $25 a month. (IDOC is split between the 2 pay periods a month. Your membership is automatically renewed annually. You must be paying dues to remain active with your benefits intact (including Legal Defense Coverage).

Dues are reduced to $6 a month. We encourage IDOC SRS pay deduction they will require you to submit a new deduction card directly to SRS, as indicated in your retirement packet you must complete prior to retiring. You will want to pay the lodge directly for approx. 3 months of dues (as it takes that long to get an SRS paycheck. Dues can be annually paid in full to the lodge by check/money order or on our online store but you are encouraged to use the SRS deduction to ensure that there are no disruptions.
FEDERAL/COUNTY CORRECTIONS members sign up for BANK deduction, dues are $25 a month. Complete the bank deduction form and return to the Treasurer as listed on the form. our application is then processed by Lodge 263, then IL State Lodge, then National Lodge. National Lodge then prints your membership card, and sends it to Lodge 263, we then send via postal mail your membership card and materials. Legal Defense may come in a separate package.
